I can see that. My father is an artist and he creates for himself. He has a hard time selling things because that is not why he does it.
Yes, the true artist HAS to do it. It's inherent. It's in the blood. While selling something would be nice, that is not what propels him or her to do what they do.
I understand and my mother understood too. She was a great support to his work.
